About Curt Rose

Curt Rose, a lifelong resident of Kingsport, inherited his passion for community service from his parents, Steve and Cathy Rose. They dedicated much of their time to serving Kingsport through various boards, civic organizations, and school PTO programs. Curt graduated from Dobyns-Bennett, attended Emory University in Atlanta for swimming, and completed his college education at ETSU, where he met his wife, Jenny. Jenny, a Bristol, TN native, attended Davidson College on a swimming scholarship and later pursued a medical career at Quillen College of Medicine, while Curt practiced law with his father at West and Rose.

Curt has worked in defense litigation his entire career, earning awards and recognitions for his contributions. He served as the president of the Kingsport Bar Association in 2010 and was appointed Municipal Judge by Mayor John Clark and the Board of Mayor and Aldermen in 2017. He currently serves as the president elect and current vice president for the Tennessee Municipal Judges Conference. Curt’s community involvement began in 2006 when he joined the Kingsport Jaycees. He served as President of the Jaycees from 2008-2009, volunteered for CASA for Kids in 2010, and chaired their board of directors. He also served as President of Susan G. Komen from 2011-2014 and was the president of the Rotary Club of Kingsport in 2017.

Curt and Jenny, who have two children, are active members of Harvest Community Church in Kingsport.
